Winter Wonderland Warriors-Week 3

11_15_fancyStarting this a bit late, but at least I’m starting it. If you want to know what this about check out this post here. And here’s my 10 goals:

  1. Finish Couch to 5k
  2. Finish the first round of one hundred pushups
  3. Start and finish two hundred situps
  4. Register for my first 5k
  5. Get below 170, preferably to at least 168, my 10% goal
  6. Finish at least two books
  7. Try a fitness class.
  8. Consistently track my food.
  9. Take at least one hike a month.
  10. Watch one classic movie a week.

With that out of the way, let’s go to this weeks questions:

1)What have you done this past week to help you achieve your goals?

I missed one day of running, but I did go go twice. I did the pushups every day I scheduled myself, started a new book, and last Friday I did try a karate class (it didn’t go well).

2)Do you find that your motivation/mood changes in the winter? If so, what do you do to help/avoid it?

It’s harder to do outdoor activities when it’s cold. I tend to want to stay inside where it’s warm and cozy. Just have to remember I don’t have to put on fat for the winter, and make myself move anyway, even if it’s going to the gym.

3)Do you have any advice for your fellow challengers on staying on task?

My only real advice is even if it scares you, do it anyway. Easier said then done, but if you put it off, it just won’t happen.

4)What day{s} of the week/month do you find it difficult to stay on task/motivated?

My problem right now is I’m working a lot of overtime. Hard to be motivated to go to the gym when that means I have to wake up at 0530 if I want breakfast first! Besides that, my monthly friend always drains my desire to do much besides sit on the couch. Try to do it anyway.

5)Fun Question of the Week: If you were going on a road trip {longer than a day} who would you take with you? Where would you go?

I love my hubby, and we do take long trips, but well I’d probably leave him at home and take a few of my other friends. I know their totally different, but I’d say either the Rocky mountains or the east coast.

Hi! I am a new reader! I just started my weight loss journey and am so excited to find so many others online walking the same road! I love what you said about doing the things that scare you… this seems to be the "theme" that keeps popping up in my life! I just joined a gym and got a personal trainer, and that scares the crap out of me!! Thanks for sharing, I look forward to reading more :)

Sounds like you're on the right track. You've got great goals! A road trip with a few friends sounds fun! We all need time away from our other half sometimes!
